Sixers agree with Iguodala

A league source has confirmed that Andre Iguodala and the 76ers agreed today in principle to a six-year deal worth $80 million.
In addition to the base salary, Iguodala, 24, could earn up to $5 million more in bonuses, and the sixth year of the contract is a player option. (Philly.com)

The Bucks acquired 27-year-old Luke Ridnour from Oklahoma City as part of a six-player, three-team deal.
The major piece given up by Milwaukee was point guard Mo Williams, who went to Cleveland to provide some needed assistance for Cavaliers star LeBron James, and the Bucks also sent small forward Desmond Mason to Oklahoma City, the former Seattle SuperSonics franchise.
Veteran forward Joe Smith moved from Cleveland to Oklahoma City in the deal, and the Bucks acquired Damon Jones from the Cavaliers and small forward Adrian Griffin from Oklahoma City. Both Jones and Griffin have expiring contracts. (JSonline.com)

Rockets guard Rafer Alston charged with DWI
FANTASY INSIGHT:
Alston, 32, was arrested about 2:30 a.m. last Thursday and released on a $500 bond, police records show. A call to his agent, Dan Fegan, was not immediately returned Tuesday. The Rockets had no immediate comment, team spokesman Nelson Luis said. (AP)

Lakers sign Chinese Magic

The Lakers and point guard Sun Yue have agreed to terms on a two-season contract, the team confirmed Thursday. The Lakers hope to sign Sun formally within the next few days, team spokesman John Black said. "Hopefully, it will get done soon," Black said. Sun, known as the Chinese Magic Johnson because of his eye-catching playmaking ability, will face his future teammate Kobe Bryant when China plays the United States on Sunday in the Olympic Games opener in Beijing. Sixers’ Jason Smith tears ACL, could miss most of season

Smith, from Colorado State, was the first-round draft pick of the Miami Heat (20th overall) in the 2007 NBA Draft. The 76ers immediately traded for Smith, sending their pick, Daequan Cook, a 2009 second-round pick, and cash to Miami.

Hawks match Grizzlies' offer for Josh Smith

The Hawks made the decision for him late Friday night by matching the five-year, $58 million offer the Grizzlies made to Smith, a restricted free agent, earlier in the day.
The Hawks retain the services of a 6-foot-9, 240-pound shot-blocking terror, Smith has finished second in the league in each of the past two seasons in blocks, that averaged 17.2 points, 8.2 rebounds, 3.4 assists and 2.8 blocks as the No. 2 option on a playoff team. (AJC.com)

Arroyo to play in Israel
FANTASY INSIGHT:
Former Orlando Magic point guard Carlos Arroyo has signed to play in Israel next season, according to a newspaper in Israel. Haaretz is reporting Sunday that Arroyo --- who played for the Magic since midway through the 2006 season --- will play for Maccabi Tel Aviv. Arroyo, one of the Magic's most popular players, became a free agent after the 2007-08 season. (Orlando Sentinel)
